House Fire in Red Hill Neighborhood

Home of long-time Three Rivers residents is consumed by fire, several pets lost.

On the evening of Friday, May 20, 2022, a report of smoke was made by Wyatt Smith, then working at The Gateway restaurant. Firefighter response crews found a nearby house belonging to Randy and Michelle Dyer engulfed in flames.

The couple, who own and operate Brewbakers Brewing Company, a beer brewery and restaurant in Visalia, CA, lost their home and personal belongings to the fire. Several pets died in the fire, including ferrets and hedgehogs, and two of three cats are missing at the time of this article’s publication. Pet dogs were away from the home with Randy at the time of the fire and are well.

The home was among several clustered on the northwest flank of Red Hill, where the East Fork of the Kaweah River joins the Middle Fork. No reports have been made public regarding the cause of the fire.
